First and foremost, I'm a mom to two incredible boys, and becoming their mother changed the course of my life in more ways than I ever expected.
Like many new parents, I brought my first baby home feeling overwhelmed, unsure of myself, and carrying more anxiety than I anticipated. After birth, it felt like all of the attention shifted to my baby—and while those appointments were important, I couldn't help but wonder, Who is taking care of Mom? Aside from my own postpartum checkup weeks later, there was very little support focused on my recovery, emotional well-being, or adjustment to this completely new season of life.
That experience opened my eyes to a gap in care that so many families experience. I became a birth doula because I wanted to help bridge that gap—to ensure parents feel supported not only during labor and birth, but throughout the transition into parenthood.
As I began this journey, I realized something even more important: a peaceful, confident postpartum doesn't begin after your baby is born—it begins long before labor starts. The way we prepare during pregnancy can shape how we experience birth, recovery, feeding, bonding, and the early weeks of parenting. That's why I believe support should never be limited to one chapter. It should consider the entire journey—from planning for pregnancy and birth, through postpartum, and into life with your growing family.
My goal is to provide a calm, informed, and reassuring presence so you never have to navigate this season alone. I believe every family deserves to feel seen, heard, and supported. I pride myself on anticipating needs, offering practical guidance, and encouraging you with compassion and evidence-based information every step of the way.
At the heart of everything I do is a simple belief: when parents are cared for, babies thrive. It is an honor to walk alongside families during one of the most transformative seasons of their lives, helping them feel confident, prepared, and empowered from pregnancy through postpartum and beyond.

Why PostpartuMN?
(pohst-pahr-tuhm)
PostpartuMN is a little play on words—postpartum + MN (Minnesota). It represents both what I do and where I do it: supporting families in the Twin Cities as they move through one of life’s biggest transitions with more care, calm, and confidence.
